A Question about the "days"

Hi, everybody.

I was wondering which is the one you prefer to use "I go to church every Sunday" and "I go to church on Sundays."

In my mind, they are same. I will appreciate if you can tell me the difference. Thanks.

Anonymous"I go to church every Sunday" and "I go to church on Sundays."
There is an alternate interpretation of the second one, namely,

I go to church on Sundays when I go to church - not on any other day, and not necessarily every Sunday.

Stated differently, the first is definitely If it is a Sunday, I go to church.
