There are a lot of reasons to the popularity of soccer, all around the world, millions play the sport and many more like to watch it, some would say that the simplicity of game is the main reason for its popularity, but that is not right, because this way, running a marathon or a race would be the most popular sport in the world (you just need to run from here to there in the lowest time!), but it isn't, Football is the most popular of all sports.

The main reason for the popularity of any sport is the room for creativity inside this sport, the things that make the people cheer because of the talents, skills and intelligence they have witnessed. And so, because soccer has plenty of room for creativity, where the player can use his mind and body to do anything in order to get hold of the ball and score and keep the other team from scoring to win the match, all within a set of rules that are made mainly to keep the game clean and better, soccer became the most popular sport in the world.

Another reason is the fact that this game doesn't need pricey equipments, all the kids in poor 3rd world countries play it, they just need a ball and an empty playground, and that would ensure a quality time for a group of kids who want to enjoy their time. The FIFA knows this fact and they always try to keep the rules and regulations applicable for the poorer countries.

For fans of watching the sport, it is so entertaining to watch the skills and talents of the players in a match, also the anticipation and the fact that anything could happen is so compelling and engaging, in the 90 or 120 minutes of the game, or the penalty shootout, anything could happen, results could change in the dying moments of the game, a team could make great comebacks from 2 or three goals down, for some special matches, they are better than any thriller movie, because you really don't know what is going to happen and you are really rooting for someone there.

As a football fan, it is one of the most joyful things to watch your team putting a good match and winning, it makes you forget about all the troubles that you face in life while you are cheering for your winning team, and no matter where you live, in the last years Italy won the world cup, Brazil won Copa America, Iraq won the Asian Cup & Egypt won the African cup, and of course anyone can realize how different these countries are from each others, but it was the same scene in every country of them, people dancing in the streets and cheering, even in Iraq, where there are conflicts and killings and war, people danced and cheered in the streets, they forgot their conflicts and they forgot the war and celebrated with each others because of football.
