a question.

Joe's got a motorbike ........can do 200km an hour. I dont know what to use...which ..or ..that..

Top answer

can do 200 km an hour. that.. "that" is more natural, and I would never use "which" in a sentence like that.

  • can do 200 km an hour.
  • that..
  • "that" is more natural, and I would never use "which" in a sentence like that.
  • But you can use use "which" instead of your "what", because "which" is commonly used when a choice is involved.

You can use either one. My feeling is that which is more BrE than AmE. (In relative clauses set off by punctuation, only which is permitted: I borrowed Joe's motorbike, which can go 200 km an hour.)
