A question

"On my last visit to Yugoslavia, I went to the mausoleum of Murad, The Turkish Sultan 'was killed/killed' in the battle of Kosova in 1389."

I know that "was killed" makes the sentence passive. And this sentence must be passive. But as far as I remember, sometimes "killed" can give passive meaning according to the sentence.

WAS KILLED OR KILLED? Please help me.

" who was killed" or you can leave off "who was" and say just "killed". Other than this kind of example, where "who was" is omitted, "killed" could have a passive meaning in special constructions such as "have someone killed" or "see someone killed". That's not the case with the example you gave.
