A quarter as much

Hi

This car emits a quarter as much CO2 as fuel driver cars.

"A quarter as much", I have never heard such a construction. Is it good English?

Thanks!

This car emits a quarter as much CO2 as fuel-driven cars.

I have used the expression ‘half as much as I do’ in the same way. Yes, it feels comfortable to me.

Sorry for that typo, I don't know how I managed to hit 'r' instead of 'n' on my keyboard.
