A qualifying clause within commas

Those two commas are right there, right?

Really? So it doesn't even need those two commas at all in order to be grammatically correct; it's only a good idea? Well, what if, say, the first comma remained, and the second one were omitted. Would that, then, be completely wrong, that is, either it's both or neithe

Boy toy is not hyphenated.

Aspara GusBoy toy is not hyphenated.
It's actually a different term I'm using (not "boy toy") that works a lot better with a hyphen; I just made it "boy," instead of the F-word, to keep things clean around here.
