I am Egyptian. My sister goes to .................... university in Paris.
1- a 2- the 3- no article

I go for "a". My friend says "no article" is also OK in this context. Is he right?

You're both right, sort of. Americans use "a" with "university", and Brits use no article. The British usage is making inroads, though. We Americans would say she goes to school or to college in Paris (no article), and it's a small step to treating "university" the
