A puzzling question

Punctuate the following sentence:

- Every year writers and scientists receive valuable awards in a great ceremony attended by the President.

My answer :

Every year, writers and scientists receive valuable awards in a great ceremony attended by the President.

(I just put a comma after 'Every year'. Am I right?

It's OK, but even that comma is not necessary.

Of the first 20 sentences at fraze.it that start with "Every year", only five of them have a comma after "year".
