A puzzling question

" If I was to be a king, I decided I wanted to act like a king. "

I read the sentence mentioned above in a story . Is it type 2 conditional? Is it grammatically correct?

Top answer

Omar Ahmed Is it type 2 conditional? No, because it does not contain 'would' anywhere. It's a sentence in the past tense that happens to have an if -clause.
