A puzzling question

The antenna can receive radio ............

a) signals b) signs

I go for 'a'. I Know that it is wrong to use 'sign' when you refer to radio signals and traffic lights signals. I can't say 'radio signs. I would appreciate if you told me when I can use only 'signal' and not sign.

Top answer

Omar Ahmed I go for 'a'. Correct. Anything that concerns electromagnetic waves is a signal, not a sign.
