A puzzling question

I have been writing a paragraph about "the importance of sport". I want to end it with the following sentence: To sum up what I want to say, all people should practise sport.

My question is : Is it correct to say "To sum up what I want to say,...."

Top answer

It's a bit overdone. Also, "all people" really needs to be qualified. To sum up, all people who are able to do so should participate in sporting activities.
