A pub cool enough

There was a party in a pub trendy enough, so we decided to go.

Is the order of the noun phrase in bold acceptable, or must we say: a trendy enough pub?

I guess it's okay. It does leave me asking "trendy enough for WHAT" but since I've never been concerned with how fashionable a place is, it may be understood better by other people.

Well, the sentence was writen by a student who is quite posh and shallow, so I guess these facts give some more sense to the sentence, don't they?
