Even there they set nine walls of silence about them, that no man or power might speake to them or hear them as they chose from amongst mages of all Earthsea him who would be the Archmage.
Could you tell me what or who him here refers to? Or actually, the sentence should be "........ that no man or power might speak to them....all Earthsea, (and no man or power might speak to) him who would be the Archmage."
