Could you tell me when I want to say 'a plant species' in a different way, which one of the followings is most appropriate?

It's very difficult without a full sentence, but I'd suggest your first option, "a species of plant."

For example,

"A species of (plant) I know eats frogs."

e.g., there is a species of plant that eats frogs.

So what I want to say is that one of the species in the organisms that belong to the to the kingdom Plantae eats frogs.

In a sentence like this, both "species" and "plant" could be used in a non-technical sense, OR in a technical sense.
