Vocabulary

A phrase in reading or wrting

Hi,

What's this action called? --- When you read a passage (or fill in a form), you read for a while, but because the line spacing is tight or the format is poorly designed, you skip or miss one or two lines, when you go on reading, you find out it's wrong and go back and read again. E.g, you read 1#, and skip or miss 2#, and go on with 3#... (It's a small mistake people often make )

1. ******

2. **********

3. ******************

4. *************************

Thanks!

Thanks Mister Micawber, but is "misread the wrong line" or "look at the wrong line" possible? Better give me an example. Thanks again

'Misread the wrong line' is redundant (or oxymoronic?)-- you must choose either 'misread the line' or 'read the wrong line'. 'Look at the wrong line' is OK, too. If you are looking for a more specific word, I don't have one.

Thanks! I undertand.
