Vocabulary

A perception of tradition

A perception means the ability to be aware of something with senses.

I am going to make up a sentence below.

(ex) The special design of the new church gives me a perception of tradition.

May I ask two questions?

(1) Does my sentence make sense?

(2) Am I using the right word to mean it gives me a feeling of tradition?

Thank you very much for your help.

Top answer

(2) Am I using the right word to mean it gives me a feeling of tradition? 1) Not really. 2) No.

  • (2) Am I using the right word to mean it gives me a feeling of tradition?
  • 1) Not really.
  • 2) No.
  • But a feeling, a sense, or an impression might be good instead of a perception.
