A passive government

If you see any mistakes, please correct me.

A passive government does not intervene in the market as much as possible to keep( or to maintain) the freedom of market.

Top answer

A government, unless absolutely necessary, doesn't intervene in/(or interfere with) the market, so as to keep it truly free. "Passive" seems to be misplaced there because it's not about the government being passive or active; a free market means there should be no intervention from the government.
