a part of

Would you say "It is a part of the screenshot"? Is part of the correct word to use?
I took a screenshot of a picture on my iPhone and as I took the screenshot, someone sent me a text. The screenshot shows the text sms that was sent to me. I showed a friend the screenshot and he thought I had just received an message. I told him that it was (a) part of the screenshot.
