A paragraph check, help!
Hi there, i'm just joining in this forum. Hopefully you all would like to help to check the following paragraph.
Is it too clumspy and not easy to understand? what do you think, guys?
English is not my first language, and im studying in Japanese University now.
There were times when 'my english' clashed so badly with 'my advisor's english'. Well in fact we are not native speaker, so that is very natural. But sometime it made me discouraged badly of my own skill in english.
So guys.. please help, actually to anyone who are natives.

In our modern society, the nanosciences have recently evolved as a major research direction, resulting from enormous ongoing efforts to make anything in a nanometer size using tools and process that are currently working in microsystems. Towards this end, it is well admitted that the bottom-up approach should now replace the classic top-down one, a strategic move that is common to several areas of nanosciences including opto-electrnics, sensing, medicine and catalysis. The bottom- up approach seems more preferable over the top-down, base on the fact that the size, shape and composition of nanomaterials can be tuned in a lot easier using this approach. The end product of bottom–up method are generally of what we called as “colloidal nanoparticles”, since the particles are formed in the presence of liquid solvent in the expense of ions mixed with some additives that keep the nanoparticle stable for months. Once colloidal nanoparticles can be fabricated with highly controlled size, shape and composition, they may reveal many interesting physical and chemical properties that are ideal as building blocks for engineering and tailoring nanoscale structure for specific technological application.
