My favorite Japanese manga is “Sangatsu No Lion.” The story mainly deals with shogi, but there is more to it than that. I believe that it also tries to tell us how important family and friends are. In the story, the main character is the boy named Rei, and he used to feel totally alone and withdraw into himself after he lost all his family due to an unfortunate accident. What attracts me so much about this manga is that I can see him grow both as a player and as a person by meeting wonderful people and building strong bonds with them. I consider myself lucky to discover this manga, because it always reminds me once again that I should not take my family and friends for granted.
