A or the Mercedes logo

Hi,

Here is my question.

The top of the building revealed the/a Mercedes logo.

The top of the building had the/a Mercedes logo on it.

I know that there is only one Mercedes logo, so logically we can use "the". However is it possible that this depends on the point of view of the speaker so either sounds natural? For example;

1. "the Mercedes logo" means the speaker/writer conceives that there is only one logo (the one we all know)

2. "a Mercedes logo" means the speaker/writer points to this particular logo as an instance (there can be many Mercedes logos on buildings all over the city).

I hope this makes sense.
