A or the?

Hi, everyone.

Is this use of indefinite article "a" before the word "website" correct or should I use "the"?

Could you refer me to a/the website prescribing the grammatical rule of using definite article like that.

"a website" means any website: you don't know how many exist that explain that rule, or which they are. "the website" implies that there is one in particular that you want to be referred to -- one that you know or believe exists, e.g. because it has been mentioned before.

It should be "... using the definite article like that".
