"a" or "the"

hello there, i`m not sure about using 'a' or 'the' in this sentence:

"Butt is a part of a cue stick. A rear part to be exact."

Im confused with the latest 'A', just before "rear" - shouldn`t there be "The" since i`m talking about a specified part - of an unspecified stick:) ? i hope you got what i mean, i`m just a beginner;)
