A noun taking an object without a preposition

Multilink - Provides load balancing several interfaces used by PPP through Multilink PPP (see below).

I think the compound noun "load balancing" takes the noun phrase "several phrase" as an object.
If right, I'd like to nouns can directly take an object without "preposition's intervention."
Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you, Mr.Micawber, for your another kind answer. Emotion: smile
Then, I'd like to know whether here "a load" means "many things."

No; I think it has a meaning very specific to high quality telecommunications devices, including remote power control management, telephone line-sharing, and industrial grade POTS line and Ethernet wireless extenders.

Assuming that "multilink" is a product or a technology, I take this as a very awkward way of saying

Multilink provides the ability to balance loads on several interfaces
