A nose, a mouth

Hi,

Is the article okay in explaining to a little child (pointing to body parts):

"What's this? This is a nose. And this is called a mouth".

I think it's correct. I am not using the definite article, because the child does not know what these are to begin with, so my nose is not much different from someone else's nose. I want to explain what a nose is, not draw attention to my own nose. Am I right?
