Can you tell me if these are natural?

Is 'call out on' correct english?
I pride myself on being a good friend and in that instance she called my out on my not being a good friend and that hurt me.

I don't think merit is the correct word. What do you think?
There isn't enough merit for her to be so disappointed in me as a friend. This is a brand new friendship.

Is 'for' correct? Do you say for the situation?
What I did was appropriate for the situation.

Thank you
