Please check this question.

The correct answer is (a)current. I think it is the correct answer in the context, but I want to see this question in grammar.

[Q1]Can't we use the words "a next schedule"?
[Q2]If I want to use "following", I have to delete the article "a" and put "the",don't I? like "the following schedule",not "a following schedule".
