A new car has specific miles on it

How do you correctly write the sentences? Do you know what I mean?

A car on average has about 400,000 miles on it before it dies with good maintenance. Motor bikes don't have the same mileage on them. They last about 150,000 miles,

This car has another few months to live. It has another 5000 miles on it. It is 20 years old. It's about time it died.

Both sets have a few thousand miles left on the tires.
