A negative meaning

- His girlfriend left him because he was always late when they had a date. [_____].

Are these all acceptable in the brackets.

1. He deserved/deserves it.
2. He got his just deserts.
3. Now is all come home truth.
4. What goes around comes around.
5. He got what he bargained for.

1. 'He deserved/deserves it.' OK. (I like the past tense better; it is more in accord.)

2. 'He got his just deserts.' OK.

3. 'Now the truth has come home to him. /Now the truth has come home to roost.' (I am not sure which of these phrases you are aiming for... or perhaps a third one?)
