A moment of providence/illumination?

I don't know how to say, for example when you're talking and all over sudden become aware that you were wrong, I want to say "I had a moment of and I can't find the right word in dictionary. Because a lot of words in English language have Christian connotations, words the meaning of which includes Christian God, like "providence" "epiphany" etc. etc. etc.

If you're speaking casually, you can say,

"The/A light bulb went off (in my head)".

It means you suddenly understand something.
