A Mini Proof Reading
In the short story, there are ten lines. In each line, there may or may not be an error. I have completed seven lines. Can you help me to finish the remaining three?

In 10, they may want 'but' instead of 'and'. However, 'and ' is not wrong.
Or 'home' instead of 'back home', yet 'back home' is not wrong, just a little casual.

Thanks for your timely reply. I have two questions: In line 3: why must we delete "the"? I am not quite sure about the article before the proper noun.
In line 8: do you mean that we can either use had brought and brought ?
