A man whose partner cheat on

0 Hi,02br
00I wonder if there's some kind of word or even slang word to refer to 01i01b00"a man whose partner (wife or girlfriend) cheats on"02b02i00. In Italian there's a specific word ("cornuto" for those who knows Italian) that is also an adjective, plus there is an idiomatic expression. If you are a male and your partner cheats on you, you are horned, you are a horned, you have horns (on your head) - literal translations. Is there something similar in the US and other English speaking countries?02br

0 01b01font00I've never liked the sound of that word, but it's the only one I know.02font02b00 0-

0Cuckold. It's certainly not used very often.02br

00EDITED - Oh, sorry! For some reason I didn't see the responses. Anyway, if you Google it you will get some "adult" sites - it's the first time I've ever seen the f-word used in a site description using Google. So please be careful with this one.0-

0We also used to say 'wears the horns' but this phrase is now pretty much obsolete, not many people would understand what it means.02br

00Likewise, cuckold, would probably cause a few confused faces, it's not a word in everyday use any more.02br

00We usually just say 'he was cheated on'.0-

0 Thank you for your relpies. 02br
00I see there's no corresponding expression (apart from "cuckold", which doesn't seem to be used much, though). I'll have to do without, and refer directly to the wife or girlfriend. 050010id5
