A man

Hi

A man dreams one day to fly.

--- Does "a man" in this sentence refer to a male or to the whole mankind, in other words: A man = humankind? I guess it refers to one male because there is "dreams"?

I would assume all of humankind.

Whichever meaning is intended, it would still be "dreams."

Hi

A man dreams one day to fly, a man takes a rocket ship into the sky. He lives on a star that's dying in the night ....

Because there is "he" do you think it's possible that all "a man" in the sentence above refer to a single male?

I don't know. Is it a poem? A story? A fable?
