Vocabulary

A major companies

When you say that, apparently grammatically incorrect with the article 'a' and the 's' for plural, is that just a casual mistake or does it mean most of or the majority of companies, with 'a major' meaning most or the majority of?

Thanks a million in advance

You're right, it's a mistake. "A" isn't used for plurals.
