A lump sum

Hi,

One of my clients say, "I will give a lump sum for all the pages you translate." I believe this means that all the payments will be made at once. (let's say 900 USD)

Then my questions goes like, how could I say if I prefer to receive it separately, base on the progress of his project? maybe three times.

"I preder to recieve the payment three times separately, 300 USD each" ? Sounds terribly wrong.

Will you tell me the correct way to say things like this?

Thank you,

M
