A love of and for music

Hi,

Are there two different meanings in [a love of music] and [a love for music]?

[a love of music]---a love about music; ----The focus of the phrase is on stressing the intended aim of the actor's love.

[a love for music]---a love directed towards music ---The focus of the phrase is on stressing someone or something towards which the actor's love directed.

It is my naive idea.

Could any one tell me your opinions and teachings?

Thanks a lot.
