a lot more out of

- Being a web worker has definitely shifted how I view my time on a fundamental level. And that just can't assimilate into the office work environment. The cruel irony is that, had I had bosses who were open enough to hear me out and accommodate my preferred way to work. They would have gotten a lot more out of me.

- What do "hear me out" and "gotten a lot more out of me" mean in this situation?
