Have you ever gotten seriously lost? What happened?

I got lost when I was a guidance school student. I can remember that event with details. That is my worst memory during my studies by far. We had a journey to Isfahan, a city in the central part of Iran with several historical and attracting buildings. We went to visit some places by bus and got off near Chaharbagh Garden, one of the beautiful and historical gardens in Isfahan. I held up for a while to do something and when I tried to find the other students and the school staff, I couldn’t find them. I guessed they should be in that garden; so I entered. But after a while, I just could find a small group of my friends there. I told them what is the matter? Where are the other students? They confirmed that we got lost. I can remember that finally 12 other students and I went back to the dormitory by only a car after more than three hours. No wonder the staff who were with us in that journey had bad times during that period and all of them were angry. All of us, even I ran away from my father who was the principal of our school when the staff arrived.
