A long-due apology

Hi

Does it sound natural to you? Any other suggestion is welcome.

I would like to offer a long-due apology for my inability to contact you back sooner.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi

A couple of other suggestions..

If you are being formal and are concerned about how your message will be received..

- I must offer a long-due apology for not replying to you sooner..

At work, for a more friendly apology, I might write..

- Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you with this..

Best regards, Dave
