No, the phrase "load of pain" is not common.

I do hear this one from time to time. It is usually not just physical pain, but emotional, or bad circumstances:
He was in a world of hurt.

He doesn't have the patience to tolerate this world of hurt.
Is that Ok?

There are two meanings to "world." One is the earth we all live on, and the other is the inner world of our personal experiences.

If you mean the Earth, then use "this world of pain and suffering."
If you mean a inner personal world then "this world of hurt."
