A list of short, obscure, yet concise words

Hello teachers,

In an attempt to enhance my writing, I am looking for a particular kinds of words, those which are short, obscure, yet incredibly concise. For example, 'tact' 'lithe' 'per' etc. The shorter the words are, the better, as I dislike words which are long and convoluted.

Thank you.
