A life without regrets is a life incomplete/ an incomplete life

Hi there! I wish to know if both of the following sentences are correct and mean the same.

1) A life without regrets is a life incomplete
2) A life without regrets is an incomplete life

I understand that no. 2 should definitely be correct but I am interested to know if no. 1 is correct too because it sounds more sophisticated and cooler than the boring structuring of no.2. If I had to bet, I would bet no. 1 is correct also because it involves a relative clause with the "that/which is" wordings taken away.

Thanks much mates! Much appreciated!
