A letter to parents: "It's a matter of ...."

Hi

Could you please check the drafting of this letter? It's from a principal of a school to the parents. ANY suggestion is welcome.

Thanks,

Tom

It is a matter of great concern to us that some of the students are coming repeatedly late to school and missing the assembly, and in some cases, half of the first lesson.

Late-coming has a seriously detrimental effect on the student’s performance in many ways, ranging from “affecting his discipline” to the “loss of his studies.”

We politely remind you that the reporting time to school for all students is 7: 50 am and request you to ensure your child’s punctuality.
