A letter to our English instructor

Hi Derek!
We hope you had a wonderful journey and return to your home safely.
We will miss you very much!
We learned so much and had so much fun during our classes that we will always have the language with us no matter where we are.

This is a letter to our English instructor from the USA.
Please, check this and let me know if it is grammatically correct.
I guess there should be some words for conclusion

Yes.
That's exactly what I meant.
He was in my country in partnership with the US embassy to teach us English.
The teacher returned to the US a few days ago, on May 24.

... I guess my phrase, ''we will always have the language with us no matter where we are'' sounds unnatural.
Maybe it should be something else, like ''we will always have the language we learned

Thank you.
(By the way, I'll send the message tomorrow probably)
I have this version for now:

''We hope you had a wonderful journey and have returned to your home safely.
We learned so much and had so much fun in your classes that we will never forget your lessons.
The things you taught us will forever be valuable to us no matter where we are.''
