00I came across to the announcement of “******” in my search for training programs on intellectual property on internet. I am very excited about the prospect of learning on intellectual property field in a program provided by ****. 02br
00I received my B. S. degree in 2005, from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Middle East Technical University (METU). 00 00After I graduated, I worked as a Junior Design Engineer in the water treatment field, until I decided to change my field in favor of intellectual property and started to work as a Patent Engineer Trainee in **** where I currently work for. Soon I realized that I found my career route that I would like to go on. The interdisciplinary nature and the richly varied aspects of intellectual property, specifically patents field fascinates me and I think that I can fully use my intellectual skills on this area.02br

00Since I finally found which field I would be happy working on, now may aim is to do my best with it. For this reason, 00I am very interested in 00improving my skills and knowledge on the diverse field of intellectual property. I know that as a patent engineer, I will also deal with other forms of intellectual property, such as trade marks, registered designs and copyrights. Because customers may want to both patent and register the design of a product, of which appearance is also important, or a protection may be sought in the form of unregistered design rights and copyright. Therefore, I would like to learn more on these subjects to prepare myself to different cases I may encounter. 02br

00In case I am accepted for the summer school program, I hope to gain general theoretical knowledge of intellectual property and characteristics of its different forms as well as some discussion on the practical aspects of the theory, detailed to an amount compared to the course duration. These will give me a base to be able to interpret specific cases I deal with in my daily work. 00Besides the highly profitable content of the course and its contribution to my future work, being in the ***** would be an amazing experience for me because of the importance and uniqueness of ***** in my work field. To conclude, 00I am sure this training will be an invaluable beginning and basis for my further career as well as an enjoyable and enriching experience.02br
