A letter my friend needs corrected.

After receiving a letter from Doctor X and his Staff, I’ve decided that what happened to me cannot be left undisclosed and my story is just as important as anyone else’s. I’ve had three Rhinoplasty procedures done by Dr. Gruber and all I’m left with is an oddly shaped nose, two very noticeable scalp scars on both sides of my temple and a terrible suture scar behind my ear caused by poor stitch work.

Now they send me a letter telling me I signed a contract stating I shan’t tell anybody about what happened to me. And if I do, they have the right to disclose my information. After all this I could care less about what they would like to divulge about me.

I paid $10,000+ with the promise that if a revision is needed, there would be no charge for a secondary surgery. And of course a second surgery was done and at the time of it he charged me an additional $3000, like I was really going to object to it a few seconds before the operation. After the 3rd and last procedure thanks for making my nose crooked in the 2^nd surgery, the stitching behind the back of my left ear was done very clumsily, so I got an infection from it and I didn’t even bother to mention it to him, because by then I knew I wasn’t going to see him again.

Doctor X & staff, you can do as you please with my information, but this just shows how reputable doctors are not all good human beings. You pretend to care about your patients but when the time comes, you’re all for the money, but who isn’t in our day and age. That’s why so many people are digging to china to fatten their bank accounts. Shame on you.

I didn't edit the letter, I re-wrote it. I feel very bad about what has happened to your friend so I took the time to write it with a bit more anger in it, and made the sentences flow better.

Now I have one more question, who is supposed to be reading this letter? It feels to me like it's an open letter written to the public (being writtent to somebody, but displayed online or in a newspaper) and not to be sent directly to the doctor himself in private. Am I correct about this? If it is supposed to be to the doctor himself I can re-write it and change it so it makes sense more.

They have just sent me a letter informing me that the contract I signed with their office forfeits my right to share my experience with others, under the threat that they will divulge my own personal information if I do. At this point, I feel it is more important to speak about what happened than protect my own identity.

Because of the poor quality of the first surgery a second surgery was necessary, but they billed me an additional $3,000 and informed me of this only moments before the second procedure was about to begin, when I was not in a proper state of mind to refuse.

After undergoing a third procedure to fix the mistakes from the second surgery that had left my nose crooked, the stitching behind my ear was done improperly. I did not mention the resulting infection or scarring I received from the stitching to the doctor because I knew I would never revisit his office again.

Doctor X and staff, please, feel free to spread my personal information as you have so proudly threatened. Please help everybody to see you clearly for exactly what you are, nothing more than gangsters wearing a white coat pretending to be doctors who help those in need. My experience exposes your true values; you don’t really care about your patients and their physical or financial wellbeing, you are simply trying to exploit those who come to you for help. I wonder what Hippocrates would have to say about how you practice medicine. This façade ends here today, you and your practice are an insult to the medical profession.
