A letter asking permission for a service and how to get a reply

00 There a several companies that I would like to use information from their websites. In their terms and conditions it states that written permission must be obtained "without our express written permission", therefore I want to write a letter to those companies asking for this permission. How would you go about writing the letter, the style and how to get a reply. I considered sending an email, but that isnt very formal, and a letter is much more suited to the situation. 02 br
