A large office space?

What would you call a large room filled with cubicles? A large office space? A large office area?

Top answer

I would probably say 'office space' although this may suggest that it is an area designated for office use rather than actually full of people working. 'Office area' doesn't really sit right but certainly isn't bad English, or wrong. It may be considered ' a large open-plan office space' if there are no separate rooms, although whether or not you can consider it 'open-plan' when it's got lots of cubicles is a moot point.
