Hello teachers,

Is the phrase "a large literature" correct, or should it be edited to "a large number of literature"? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Phillip.

Would it be OK in the below sentence?

A large literature has already established the size of correlations between mental health and labor market outcomes.

I think that a great amount of literature sounds better.

To me, it actually sounds OK.

(By the way, note that "a large number of literature" is definitely wrong.)

The phrase . . . the size of correlations between . . . also seems wrong to me.
I suggest
eg the degree of correlation between
eg the number of correlations between
