Merry Christmas dear English Forum!
I'd like to forward the following question to you, native speakers ... asked by one of my younger ones the other day :-)
How often is the noun "shower" ( = exhibitor, [ ou] ) used in modern English?
Our English text books are alive with "shower" [ - au-] = rain storm, etc. or "place in whicg people bathe under a spray of water" but "shower = exhibitor" is hardly ever used?..
Cheers,
vlivef
